William Logan Tomblin, 81, of Rutherfordton, died Tuesday, July 7 at White oak Manor in Rutherfordton. A native of Rutherford County, he was a son of the late William Martin and Lillie Belle Monteith Tomblin. He was a retired security guard for AGI Industries and a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Lillian Faye Allen Tomblin of Rutherfordton; one daughter, Desi Harris of Forest City; one son, Anthony Gill Tomblin of Mount Pleasant, NC; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 12 at 3 PM at Mountain Creek Baptist Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
