These are the memories she leaves behind…
Mrs. Annie Mae Griffin Flowers, was born in Iredell County on July 4, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Janie Lou Griffin. She entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at the Gordon Hospice House following an extended illness.
She attended Unity High School and was retired from Statesville Chair Factory. She was a member of Logan Presbyterian Church where she served as an Usher, a member of the Senior Choir, Progressive Women, and the Social Committee. She was also a member of the Scotts Community Chorus and the Scotts Recreation Center.
She was married to Raeford H. Flowers, who preceded her in death. A son, Larry Bernard Flowers and a son-in-law, George Jones, also preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish the memory of her life a son, Jerry (Sherri) Leonard Flowers of the home; two daughters, Barbara Jones of Stony Point and Malinda (Asmus) Potts of Murphy, Texas; one sister, Mary Griffin of Scotts; five grandchildren, Stephanie Joy Jones of Stony Point, William Keenan Jones of Stony Point, Monique Octavia (Emanuel) Javel of Statesville, Nathin Jamal Parsons of Statesville, Stephanie Briana Flowers of the home; four great grandchildren, Lauren Sierra Daniels of Charlotte, Quincy William Daniels of Stony Point, Tyler Jones of Harmony and Jeremiah Javel of Statesville; a special nephew, Allen Eugene Griffin of Charlotte; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, church family and friends.
