Barry Louse Caldwell

<p>Mr. Barry Louis Caldwell, 58, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at Iredell Memorial Hospital, Statesville, following an extended illness. He was born in Iredell County on November 5, 1959, and was the son of the late William Crawford Brock and Mary Emma Caldwell Cherry. He was married to Dana Nanette Stevenson Caldwell, who preceded in death on October 7, 2017. </p><p><br></p><p>He attended the Iredell County Schools and was a member of Bethel United Congregational Church. Prior to his illness, he was employed by Becto as a Forklift Operator. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, William Caldwell and two sisters, Doris Caldwell Stevenson and Minnie Caldwell.</p><p><br></p><p>He leaves to cherish the memory of his life, two daughters, Tamera Caldwell and Sharana “Honeybun” Caldwell, both of Statesville; goddaughters, Keisha Summers; godsons, Red Summers and Jaruis Stevenson; three brothers, Ronald Allen Caldwell, Roy Edward Green and Lester Cedric Cory, all of Statesville; sisters, Linda (Perry) Lackey, Beatrice Caldwell, Connie Simmons, and Rose Mary (Robert) Dye, all of Statesville; step-father, James Cherry; in-laws, Angela (Carlos) Templeton, Deanna Bryant and Frankie Stevenson, Billy Stevenson and Tracy Brandon; great aunts, Laura Adams of Wilmington, DC, Louise Adams of Youngstown, Ohio, Alton Polk of Morganton and Delilah Caldwell of Bridgeport, CT; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, the Bethel Congregational Church Family, and other relatives, neighbors and friends. </p><p>Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at The Mary B. Bigham Memorial Chapel of Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Reverend James Williams will officiate. Members of the family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., but will assemble at the residence, 1115 South Meeting Street, at other times.</p><p>Visit the Book of Memories for Mr. Caldwell at www.rutledgeandbigham.com.
