Billy Inabinet Obituary

Psalm 30:5 "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning." Billy Eugene Inabinet was born on September 6, 1949 in Albemarle, N.C. to the late Perlene Scott and Arthur Inabinet, Sr. On Wednesday, October 9, 2019, he departed this life at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, N.C. He was raised in Badin, N.C and as a young boy Billy attended and was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Badin. He attended West Badin Elementary and West Badin High School. He enjoyed playing games with his friends in our small community on Lincoln Street and the surrounding areas. Billy was wise for his years and he was actually quite a witty comedian. He loved his family and he had a very special bond with his little sister Mary who he fondly called "NAG". Billy was a hard worker and spent several years working at Yadkins Brick Yard and local manufacturers in Stanly County. He moved to Fort Washington, Md in 1980 to live with his sister and he worked at the Giant Foods Warehouse. At the request of his father, he returned home to N.C. where he later reunited with his loving and devoted wife, Gloria. They lived in Mooresville, N.C. until he was called home by the heavenly father. Billy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Adam Scott and Lena Gibson, Samuel Inabinet and Lula Jones Inabinet; his step-mother, Annie R. Inabinet; his sisters, Pearl Whitiker and Dominique McCall; his brothers, Arthur (Alma) Nabinett, Jr., Lewis Scott, Willie (Ethel) Scott, Arthur (Ceceil) Scott and James H. Leake. Billy leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Gloria J. Inabinet of the home; his son, Justin; his daughter, Karen; his brothers, Samuel K. Nabinet, Howard (LaRita) Leake, Wayne McCall, and Burnie (Erica) McCall; his sisters, Annie B. Williams, Faye (James) Partlow, Mary R. (Sylvester) Jones, Gency (Doug) Swaringer, and Sarah McCall; a sister-in-law, Alma Nabinett; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as a host of friends from Highland Acres Church of Christ, other classmates and friends.
