Boucha Lynne Brown

Boucha Lynne Brown, 55 years of age, was born in Patterson, NJ. She passed away at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem of complications associated with a sudden illness. She was the daughter of the late Charles Redmond and late Fanida Blackwell Adams.

She is survived by her three children: Demaris Brown, Brandy Brown and Joseph Brown all residing in High Point, NC. Three siblings: Tony Rankin of Statesville, NC, Mena Beard (daughter Shataré Beard) of Greensboro NC and Johnny Cockerham (wife Samantha) of Statesville. Her sister-in-law Gloria Rankin and children: Adrian Rankin of Florida, Tameka Wade and Gloria Rankin (TeeTee) of Mississippi. Her aunts: Helen Vinson of Georgia, Sarah Horn and Dana McCullough of Statesville. Uncles: Immerson Blackwell and James Blackwell (wife Vicky) of Statesville. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Boucha dedicated her life to God and was baptized in 1979. She attended Statesville Senior High School where she was an excellent student and graduated in 1981. She was employed by TexWipe of Kernersville.

Boucha loved to laugh and share with others whatever she had. She was known for being a person that you could call on and was willing to help anyone. She was much loved by and devoted to her family and friends. We will miss her greatly.

The memorial service for her will be held at Rutledge and Bigham Mortuary, Inc. 603 S Center Street Statesville, NC. Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. The discourse will start at 12:00 pm Saturday September 8, 2018 and will be delivered by Johnny Cockerham.
