Clarence Cooper

Mr. Clarence Steven Cooper, 66 , affectionately known as “Steve,” of 323 Mt. Bethel Road, Harmony, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2015, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. He was born in Yadkin County, on August 24, 1948, and was the son of the late Homer and Ruby Martin Cooper. He was preceded in death by brothers, Fredrick, James and Homer Cooper. He attended Piney Grove AME Zion Church. He was of the Baptist Faith and Steve loved art and drawing. He leaves to cherish the memories of his life, his siblings; care-givers, Carolyn (William) Nichols, of the home, Emma (Harold) Smith of Hamptonville, Barbara Russell of Yadkinville, Loretta Advent of Yadkinville, Donald (Sonya) Cooper of Yadkinville; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends, especially the staff and classmates at Life Span in Troutman. Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Wednesday morning, February 25, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at The Mary B. Bigham Memorial Chapel of Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Reverend Marcus Farmer will officiate and Reverend Patrick Tate will eulogize. Members of the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., but will assemble at the residence at other times. Rutledge and Bigham Mortuary is serving the Cooper Family.
