Mrs. Dana Nanette Stevenson Caldwell, 53, passed away at Carolina's Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born on January 11, 1964, and was the daughter of the late Harvey Lee Stvenson and Linda Louise Holmes Stevenson. She was married to Barry L. Caldwell, who survives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Mary Emma Cherry and her aunt, Betty Adams.

She was a graduate of Statesville High School and was a member of Bethel United Congregational Church. Prior to her illness, she was a CNA.

She leaves to cherish the memory of her life in addition to her husband, Barry Caldwell; two daughters, Tamera Caldwell and Sharana "Honeybun" Caldwell, both of Statesville; three sisters, Angela (Carlos) Templeton, Deana Bryant and Frankie Stevenson; all of Statesville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ronald Caldwell of Statesville, Roy Green of Statesville, Linda (Perry) Lackey of Statesville, Beatrice Caldwell of Statesville, Connie Simmons of Statesville, Rose Mary (Robert) Dye of Statesville and Cedric Cory of Statesville; several aunts and uncles including, Rickey (Janice) Holmes, Leon Sharpe, Eric Sharpe and Tony Sharpe, JoAnn Tucker, Katherine Turner, Pam White and Sharon (Terry) Carson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, the Bethel Congregational Church Family, and a host of other relatives, neighbors and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Sunday, October 15, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at The Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Rev. James Williams will officiate. Members of the family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., but will assemble at the residence of a niece, Sonya Caldwell, 1309 Caldwell Street, Statesville, at other times.
