Mr. David Jerome Robinson, Sr., 27, of 902 Alexander Street, Statesville, was born in Iredell County on May 26, 1986, and was the son of David Robinson and Tawanda (Tyrone) James. He departed this life on Sunday, May 26, 2013 in Statesville. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bishop James and Martha Mack, Sr., and an uncle, Abraham “Junior” Strickland.
He attended the Statesville City Schools and loved fishing.
In addition to his father, David of Charlotte, his mother and step-father, Tawanda (Tyrone) James of the home; a fiancé’, Shannon Hollar of Taylorsville; two sons, David Jerome Robinson, Jr. and Cameron Hollar; a daughter, Arianella Marie Myers of Florida; four brothers, Antonio McDonald and Tyrice Young, Sr., both of Statesville, Daquan Robinson of Mooresville and Kendrick Robinson of Salisbury; three sisters, Erica Young of Statesville, Jessica Dalton and Angel Young, both of Mooresville; his paternal grandmother, Nancy Robinson; his maternal grandmother, Barbara Young; a host of aunts and uncles including, Franklin (Diana) Davidson, Anthony Davidson, Elder Ricky (Lisa) Swillings, Evangelist Tina Mack, Bishop Jamie (Francetta) Mack, Kevin Mack, Reginald (Angie) Imes, Treva Strickland, Regina (Frank) Jones, Robert (Brandi) Byers, and Marcus Byers; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Friday, May 31, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Deliverance for Jesus. Dr. Virginia Byers is Pastor, Rev. J. C. Byers will officiate and Bishop Joe Byers will eulogize. Burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery.
