Mr. Eric Warren Caldwell, 54, of 1258 Suncrest Avenue, Statesville, passed away at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem on Sunday, December 13, 2015, following an accident. He was born June 7, 1961 in Iredell County to Joseph Warren Caldwell and the late Betty Jean Jones Caldwell.

Eric was called and known as “Caldwell” throughout the entire Statesville community. Primarily, known as the man who could fix anything. He attended Statesville City schools, and was currently employed through Mancan temp services. He will be sorely missed.

He leaves to cherish the memory of his life, in addition to his father, two sons; Eric West of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Demario Robinson of Statesville. Three daughters; Nichole West Mitchell of Indianapolis, Indiana, Shekeite Robinson and Shequite Robinson both of Statesville. Six grandchildren: Izaiha, Lathan, Shanayza, Juzia, Juzion, Juzayden. Two brothers, Bradley Caldwell of Charlotte, and Larry Caldwell of High Point. Three sisters, Sylvia J. Caldwell of Charlotte, Audrey Davidson of Statesville, and Angela Brown of Statesville. Three aunts, Catherine Rankin of Statesville, Delia Caldwell of Stratford, Ct and Laura Hopkins Adams of Leland, N. C. Special cousins Beatrice Caldwell and Linda Lackey, a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, neighbors, and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at The Mary B. Bigham Memorial Chapel of Rutledge and Bigham Mortuary at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Bobbi Samuels will officiate and burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery.
