Ms. Frances Regina Summers, 1422 Woodruff Street, Statesville, NC passed away at her residence on Sunday, February 22, 2015, unexpectedly. She was born in Iredell County on September 15, 1956, and was the daughter of the late William Frank Summers and Lillie Louise Hamilton Patterson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Alvina Saddler, a brother, Wardell Tremain Stevenson, an Aunt, Dorether Wilson; three uncles, Albert Parker, Ed Hamilton and Guy Morrison. She was a graduate of South Iredell High School and was a member of Garden of Eden Church. At one time, she was employed by Troutman Shirt Factory. She leaves to cherish the memory of her life a son, Franklin D. Summers of the home; a daughter, Jaleesa Rae Summers of Statesville; a brother, Eric (Catherine) Patterson of Statesville; two sisters, Carla Patterson and Diwatha (Charles) Patterson, both of Statesville; a grandson, William Norman Summers of Statesville; three aunts, Blanche Parker and Eddie Mae Morrison, both of Statesville, and Juanita (Bishop Joe) Gray of Woodleaf; two uncles, Wiley (Lillian) Patterson of Statesville and Deacon Andrew Wilson of Troutman; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family and friends. Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Friday, February 27, 2015, at The Mary B. Bigham Memorial Chapel of Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Pastor Sylvester Williams will officiate and burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery. Ms. Summers will remain at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home where members of the family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Family will assemble at the residence of her uncle, Deacon Andrew Wilson, 349 Talley Street, Troutman, at other times.
