George Chambers

Mr. George Calvin Chambers, son of the late George Henry Chambers and Mary Edna Turner Chambers, was born in Iredell County on November 4, 1972. He departed this life at Brian Center of Statesville following an extended illness. He was a graduate of North Iredell High School and at one time was employed as a Truck Driver. He leaves to remember and cherish his life, three brothers, Michael R. Chambers and Terry R. (Debra) Chambers, both of Statesville and Fredrick A. Chambers of Troutman; three sisters, Gloria C. Lankford, Angela M. (George) Chambers and Lisa (Eddie) Phillips, all of Statesville; and a host of and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Miss Me, But Let Me Go Miss Me, but let me go… For this is a journey that we all must take And each must go alone. It's all part of the Master's plan A step on the road to home When you are lonely and sick at heart Go to the friends we know And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds Miss Me, But Let Me Go. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, March 12, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at The Mary B. Bigham Memorial Chapel of Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Pastor Anthony Turner will officiate and burial will follow in the Veterans Section of Belmont Cemetery with military rites being performed by the Iredell County Veterans Service Council. Members of the family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
