Mr. George Elmer Miller, 78, of 139 Camp Oak Road, Statesville, departed this life on Sunday, December 06, 2015, at his residence. He was born in Iredell County on March 27, 1937, and was the son of the late Elmore Miller and Lillian Connor Miller. He was united in marriage to Leatha James Miller, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a son, Clyde Alexander Beatty and a grandson, Willie Connor.

Mr. Miller attended Iredell County Schools and was self-employed as a logger. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He is survived two sons, James Ramsey of Statesville and Louis Beatty of Mooresville; four daughters, Betty Ann Ivory, Clara B. Locklear and Peggy (Arnold) Norman, all of Statesville, and Ada (James) Barringer of Mooresville; a brother, William (Mary) Miller of Statesville; a sister, Catherine Heaggans of Statesville; special friends, Gloria Harris and Andrea Winford, both of Troutman.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Mt. Calvary Apostolic Holiness Church, Statesville; Bishop Dr. Randy Minor Phd. will officiate.

Members of the family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m at Mt. Calvary Apostolic Holiness Church
