Mr. James Kirk, 76, was born in Lancaster County, South Carolina on January 7, 1939. He was the son of the late Alexander and Pearlie Boyd Kirk. He peacefully entered into eternal rest on July 31, 2015, at Gordon Hospice House, following an extended illness. He attended Lancaster County Schools in Lancaster, SC. He served in the United States Air Force at Lackland Air Force in San Antonio, TX. He was self-employed as a taxi driver. In addition to his wife Mrs. Glenda Miller Kirk, he leaves to cherish the memory of his life, one son, Franklin Kirk of Decatur, Ga.; two grandchildren, Marketa Kirk and Marvin Robinson of Decatur; four great grandchildren, Lashiya Hall, Dominic Phillips, Deia Phillips, and Dillan Phillips, of Decatur, Ga.; two sisters, Edna Ruth McClain of Charlotte, and Mary Kay Adams of Decatur, Ga.; two God sisters, Sazdah Malik, and Roslyn Gormley of Charlotte; three brother-in-laws, James Miller (Carolyn) of Charlotte, Willie Maddox (Linda) of Statesville, and Freddie Maddox (Michelle) of Decatur, Ga.; a sister-in-law, Wanda Imes (Robert) of Statesville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
