Jeremiah Johnson

Master Jeremiah Lamont Johnson, 6, was born in Iredell County on August 27, 2008, and was the son of Jonathan Johnson and Joanna Nichols. He passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2014, at N.C. Baptist Hospital, Winston-Salem. He attended Union Grove Elementary and also Cornatzer Elementary Schools. He was preceded in death by Ellen and Fred Nichols, John Heard, Sr., Oscar Blackwell and Robert Lee Johnson. In addition to his parents, Jonathan Johnson and Joanna Nichols, survivors include, three brothers, Isaiah Johnson of Harmony, Carter Groce and Kenneth Johnson, both Mocksville; his maternal grandparents, Silva Nichols Lewis of Harmony and John (Meg) Heard, Jr., of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; his paternal grandparents, Frances (Nathan) Tyson of Mocksville and Bobby R. Johnson, Sr., of Baltimore, MD; his maternal great grandparents, Fannie Jo Mccullom of Middlesex, N.J.; his paternal great grandparents, Linda Blackwell of Mocksville and Mary Holtvclaw of Salisbury; three uncles, Travis (Janine) Lewis of Wilkesboro, Darren Johnson of Mocksville and Bobby Johnson of Salisbury; an aunt, Latisha Young of Mocksville; great aunts and uncles, Oscar Young and Carolyn (Juan) Mussen, both of Mocksville, Linda Young of Starksville, MS, Eunice (Richard) Campbell of Winston-Salem, James (Nelda Chambers) Nichols, JoAnn Studevent, and Claude Steele, all of Harmony, Robert (Mary B.) Nichols and Mary J. Nichols, both of Statesville, Donna Plummer of Somerset, NJ, and Janet Heard of Poughkeepsie, NY; his god parents, Mary and Alex Montgomery of Mocksville; a host of other relatives and friends.
