Memory has a beautiful way of keeping loved ones near, Ever close in heart and mind are the ones we hold most dear. Jordan Tyree Campbell, 16, the beloved son of Quinton Campbell and Sandra Redmond, was born in Forsyth County on July 23, 1999. He peacefully entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 10, 2015, in Kannapolis following an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Henry R. B. Campbell and Beulah Campbell and Samuel and Nancy Ford; uncle, Shannon Redmond. He was a student and loved football, and "COD" Call of Duty Video Games. Jordy, as he was affectionately called, leaves to cherish the memory of his life in addition to his father, Quinton and his mother, Sandra; his step-mother, Roslyn Campbell of Kannapolis; four brothers, Demarco Shankle of Albemarle, Rashawn Redmond, Quinton Campbell, Jr., and Kierre Brown, all of Winston-Salem; three sisters, Jala Marie Campbell, Raven Phifer and Tiaira Phifer, all of Kannapolis; his maternal grandmparents, Alma Redmond of Hamrony and Kip Dobbins of Harmony; his uncles, Henry (Phyllis) Campbell of Richmond, Virginia, Derrick (Carla) Ford of Kannapolis and Darren (Tammy) Ford of Concord; his aunts, Sheila (WIlliam Banks) Smith of Statesville, Carolyn Campbell of Kannapolis and Maria Cunningham of Harmony; his great aunts and great uncles, Elaine (Calvin) Dobbins of Statesville, Rankdall (Anita) Redmond of Kannapolis, Tim Redmond of Harmony and Tracy Steele of Mocksville; and a host of cousins, other relatives, neighbors and friends. Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Friday, September 18, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at Campbell Missionary Baptist Church in Mooresville, N. C. Reverend Dale Wilson is Pastor, Pastor George Gillespie will officiate and Rev. Alexander Porter will eulogize. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Church Cemetery in Houstonville. Jordy will remain at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home until taken to the church to lie in state at 11:30 a.m. Members of the family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., but will assemble at the residence at other times.
