Mr. Mark Anthony Moore, 48, of Troutman, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014, in Dillard, South Carolina. He was born in Iredell County on July 18, 1965, and was the son of Lefty Gomez Moore and Elizabeth Katie Phifer Moore. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Inez Moore, Sr., Isaac Phifer and Maggie Kasey Phifer. He attended South Iredell High School and joined St. James First Baptist Church at an early age. At the time of his death, he was employed by Gaylord Electrical as an electrician. He was previously employed by Port City Electric as an electrician. Survivors include his parents, Lefty and Elizabeth Moore of Troutman; two sons, Jeremy Shamel Parks and Martavion Moore; step daughter- Monicka Adams of Mooresville; his brothers, Jeffrey Lamont Moore and Chad Bradley Moore, both of Troutman and Anthony Young of Statesville; two aunts, Lizzie Byers and Helen B. Moore; two uncles, Joseph Moore and Benny Ray Moore; a great aunt, Mae Scott; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Thursday, April 24, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. at The Mary B. Bigham Memorial Chapel of Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Reverend Cecil Hewitt, Jr. will officiate and burial will follow in the St. James First Baptist Church Cemetery. Members of the family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m., but will assemble at the residence of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lefty Moore, 333 Fern Hill Road, Troutman, at other times.
