<p>Mrs. Mary Lee Moore Scott</p><p>101 years</p><p>Remembering Her Life With Love</p><p><br></p><p>Mrs Mary Lee Moore Scott, was born on March 22, 1914 in Iredell County at Bell Crossroad, Troutman, N.C. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Benjamin M. Moore and Amanda Lewis Moore. She departed her life on Tuesday, December 15, 2015. She had six brothers and three sisters, all of them are deceased. She was married to James Scott for numerous years, who proceeded her in death. A son, Willie James Scott, also proceeded her in death. </p><p><br></p><p>She attended Neil Town School in Iredell County. Mrs. Mary Scott was a domestic worker for most of her career, and also worked at Chemspan Mill in Mooresville for eight years. Mrs. Mary Scott was a life long member at St. James First Baptist Church for 90 years. She joined the church when she was eleven years old. </p><p><br></p><p>She taught youth Sunday School, was Secretary of Sunday School, and served on the Usher Board for over twenty five years. She served on the kitchen committee for twenty years and was the Mother of the Church.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include; two sons, Lester Glenn Scott (Martha), of Salisbury, N.C. and Roscoe Scott of Troutman, N.C. and a daughter-in-law, Buelah Scott of Statesville, N.C. She has two granddaughters, Angela Delores Scott of McLeansville, N.C. And Maudie Elizabeth Scott of Statesville, N.C. She has four great grandchildren, Tristen Scott, Justin Davidson, Jamia White, Zinnie J. White Jr and four great great granddaughters, Tyiana Cowan, Alayzhia Cowan, Trinity Scott and Tazia Smith and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins and friends. </p><p><br></p><p>Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Saturday, December 19, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at the Mary B. Bigham Memorial Chapel of Rutledge and Bigham Mortuary. Reverend J. C. Byers will officiate, burial will follow in the St. James First Baptist Church Cemetery.
