For his anger endureth but a mometh, in his favour is life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning"<br><br>Meshia Kifha Howard, was born in Iredell County on March 20, 1980, and was the daughter of David “Brown” Mott and Angela Faye Howard Holmes. She departed this life at her home on Thursday, April 23, 2020, unexpectedly.<br>She attended Statesville High School and at one time was employed by Elmer’s Glue. She was preceded in death by an aunt, Ardell Von Howard; a cousin, Santana Wright; her grandfather, Hosea Howard; and her grandmother, Bernice Mott Brown.<br>In addition to her mother, Angela Faye and her father, David (Natalie) Brown Mott, she leaves to cherish the memory of her life her special friend, Eric S. Thibou of New York; ten children, Antaniqua Smith of Winston-Salem, Kadeya Howard of Statesville, Derrion Turner of Raleigh, Shi’Vontae Howard, O’Marion Howard, Eryana Howard, Eric Thibou, Jr., Erica Thibou, Shakai David Mott and Egypt Thibou, all of Statesville; four brothers, Tony Moten, Tim (Alisha) Moten, Samuel DaPrice Saddler and Mario (Shameka) Caldwell, all of Statesville; three sisters, Phatara Howard, Jamie (Eric) Wilson and DaShonn Knox, all of Statesville; her grandmother, Alice Clark Howard of the Statesville her aunts, Tabitha (Patrick) Clyburn, Saundra Summers, Lois Dawkins, and Rosetta Smyre; great aunts and great uncles, Linda Hammons, Jerome (Kim) Howard, Ronald (Lisa) Howard, Furman (Ann) Mott, Sam (Gay) Mott, Thelma (Gary) Hall, James Clark, and William Clark; her godmother, Terry McClelland and family; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.<br><br>It seems so unreal that you are gone,<br>When just the other day,<br>You walked and talked and laughed with us<br>Then suddenly slipped away.<br>Your peaceful smile, your joyful laugh<br>How sweet the memory still;<br>Your parting left an aching void<br>This world will never fill<br><br><br>Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at 2:00 p.m., Bishop Ralph Wood will officiate and burial will follow in the Shepherd Church of God Cemetery in Mooresville.<br><br>There will be NO PUBLIC VISITATION, unfortunately, with the COVID-19 Virus we, at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home, along with other funeral homes across the country, have been issued a mandate to limit the number of family and/or friends at funeral services.
