Michael Leron Turner

There's a place where mercy reigns And never dies There's a place where streams of grace Flow deep and wide Mr. Michael Leron Turner, 44, of 213 Springfield Road, Statesville, passed away at his home on Thursday, July 18, 2019, unexpectedly. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on December 10, 1974, and was the son of LeRoy Turner and Dorothy Wright Gregg. He was preceded in death by three uncles and an aunt, Phillip Turner, Clarence Turner, Stevie Turner and Linda King. He was a high school graduate and was employed by a game company as a Video Game Developer and Designer. He loved movies, his family, and also trained dogs. He leaves to cherish the memory of his life, his father, LeRoy Turner of the home; his mother, Dorothy Wright Gregg of Texas; his aunts and uncles, Henry Turner of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, James (Frances) Turner of Raleigh, Margaret (Dr. John) Levell of California, Mildred (Dr. George) Patterson of Somerset, New Jersey, Mary Alice (Earl) Clark, Mona Lisa Ealey, and Sunday (Rick) Nesby, all of Austin, Texas, Frances (Jim) Lee of San Antonio, Texas, Cynthia (Mauricio) Gonzales of Oklahoma City; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Friday, July 26, 2019, at 12:00 noon at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Pastor Glenn J. Usry will officiate and burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery. Mr. Turner will remain at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home where members of the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on Friday, prior to the service.
