Mildred Louise Davis

Mrs. Mildred Louise Torrence Davis, 64, of 137 Marlo Loop, Troutman, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, following an extended illness. She was born in Iredell County on April 5, 1952, and was the daughter of the late John Torrence and Ruby Williams Torrence. She was married to Calvin Davis, who preceded her in death. A son, Alfred Torrence, a brother, John Torrence, and two sisters, Shelby Parks and Ruby Torrence, also preceded her in death.<br>She attended the Iredell County Schools and was a member of Pentecostal Praise and Prayer Fellowship.<br>She leaves to cherish the memory of her life, two sons, Russell (Priscilla) Mitchell of Charlotte and Calvin (Stephanie) Davis, Jr. of Kannapolis; one daughter, Angela (Bryan) Bailey of Troutman; one brother, David Torrence of Troutman; three sisters, Pamela (Derrick) Turner and Diane Torrence, both of Troutman and Jeanette Witherspoon of Mooresville; grandchildren, Candice Moore, Steven Davis, Natasha Davis, Sasha Davis, Tory Davis, Markeece Torrence, LaQuisha Clarke, Kimberly MItchell and Antonio Mitchell; six great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.<br>Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Monday, March 27, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. in the Mary B. Bigham Memorial Chapel of Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Pastor Roger Powell will officiate and burial will follow in the Iredell Memorial Park. Mrs. Davis will remain at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home where members of the family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m., but will assemble at the residence at other times.<br>Visit the Book of Memories for Mrs. Davis at www.rutledgeandbigham.com.
