Ms. Patrice La-Shaye Turner, 41, of Cass Street, passed away unexpected on Saturday, February 14, 2015, in Baltimore, Maryland. She was born in Iredell County on February 5, 1974, and was the daughter of Emanuel Turner and the late Dianathayer La-June Myers. She attended the Statesville City Schools and was employed as a Nurse's Assistant with Home Health. She leaves to cherish her memories her father, Emmanuel Tuner, grandmother, Elizabeth Turner, two sons, Treston’Ta (Katisha) Thomas of Statesville, NC and DevonDre ( Shelli) Thomas of Mooresville, NC; one daughter, Anaunda Thomas of Troutman, NC a lifelong friend and father of her children, Johnny Eugene Thomas of Troutman, NC; a sister Apostle Pleshette La-Faye (Wesley) Redmond of Cooleemee, NC; a sister-cousin Natasha Myers of Statesville, NC; a step-sister Kinna Glaspy of Roanoke, VA, ten uncles, Ronald (Chaneta) Hall and Robert Myers of Statesville, NC, Donnie (Judy) Myers, Sr. of Mt. Pleasant, NC, Johnny (Lisa) Myers, Jr., William (Connie) Myers and Steven (Sharon) Myers, Sr. of Statesville, NC, Woodrow (Synetta) Turner of Bronx, NY, David (Wanda) of Pendleton, SC, Reginald (Celesia) Turner of Gainesville, VA, Elder Michael (Marilyn) Turner of Statesville, NC; four aunts, Mary Turner of Bronx, NY, Anita (Mary) Myers (Herbert) Pickens of Independence, MO, Patricia Myers (Ray) Ramseur and Yolanda Myers (Lowery) Johnson of Statesville, NC; eight grandchildren, De’Ijha, D’Avion Da'Vaija, De'Novee, Payton, D'Wayne Destiny and Jamie; two nieces, Ceairria Wilson of San Antonia, TX, Colebri Turner of Cooleemee,NC: a nephew, Joshua Smith of Cooleemee, NC; a God-sister Patricia Ann White, a special cousin, Nakia Myers; special friends Colin Burnett of Alexandria, VA, Tera Burch, Michelle Brooks, Beverly Pickens Allison, Marcus Byers and a host cousins, others relatives and friends. Celebration of Life Services will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. at The Mary B. Bigham Memorial Chapel of Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery.
