Pauline Clark Obituary

Mrs. Pauline Carruth Clark, 96, was born in Athens, Georgia on August 18, 1918, and was the daughter of the late Robert and Ossie Williams Carruth. She departed this life on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at the Gordon Hospice House, Statesville, following an extended illness. She attended the Rowan County Schools and was employed by the Statesville Laundry for over forty years and also worked with Barnhardt Furniture Company. She was a member of Elmwood AME Zion Church and served as a Deaconess, Sunday School member and was a Missionary. She was married to Gaston G. Clark, who preceded her in death. Two sisters, Geraldine Mosley and Lula Robertson, also preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish the memory of her life two daughters, Bobby A. Clark of Statesville and Gilbert L. Cooke of Silver Springs, Maryland; four grandsons, Duane (Delzora) Clark of New Bern, Shawn (Tammy) Cooke of Waldorf, Maryland, Torrie (Annie) Cooke of Silver Springs, Maryland and Cam (Carmita) Cooke of Hanover, Maryland; four great granddaughters, Marissa Wilson of Glen Burnie, Maryland, Ciera Cooke of Silver Springs, Maryland, Gabrielle Clarke of New Bern, Kyra Cooke of Waldolf, Maryland and Cannon Cooke of Hanover, Maryland; three great grandsons, Aaron Cooke of Silver Springs, Maryland, Caleb Cooke and Joshua Cooke, both of Waldolf, Maryland; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
