Samuel Renard Ikard, 63, was born in Iredell County, January 11, 1954, and was the son of Blanche Ikard Borders and the late Charles Edward Bellamy. He departed this life on Monday, October 2, 2017, at Rowan Medical Center, Salisbury, following an extended illness.

He was a graduated from Statesville High School and served with the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He attended the United House of Prayer for All People and his hobbies included Playing Horseshoes.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Hank Boarders and Charles Borders and a sister, Janice Ikard Cloud. He was once married to Cindy F. Glover, who survives.

Affectionately called Pete, he leaves to remember and celebrate his life, in addition to his mother, Blanche Ikard Borders; one son, Chad (Danette) Glover of Statesville; one daughter, Shanika Glover of Statesville; one god daughter, Ciera Harris of Statesville; one brother, Randy Borders of Statesville; two sisters, Rebecca Ikard of Statesville and Ginny (Donnie) Keaton of Taylorsville; Four grandchildren, Leasia Glover of Greenville; Shallah Glover, Javreea Glover and Niyin Miller, all of Statesville; one uncle, Donald Ikard of Philadelphia, Pa.; three aunts, Ida Mae Ikard Davis of Statesville Louise Ikard of Philadelphia, Pa. and Mildred Ikard Pinchback of Statesville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, neighbors and friends.
