Clyde Junior Longden, 95 Clyde Junior Longden, 95 of Ashland passed away, Monday, September 18, 2017 in University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center. He was born on August 3, 1922 to the late Clyde and Grace Longden in Woodsfield, Ohio. Clyde proudly served in the United States Army during WWII where he was a medic. He married the former Bertha L. Morris in 1944. Clyde retired after more than 38 years from F.E. Myers Pump Company. Throughout his life, he enjoyed the great outdoors. Clyde was an avid hunter and fished, but most of all he loved to play Euchre. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the Amvets in Ashland. He is survived by two daughters, Carol Searls of Ashland and Brenda (Ron) Phillips of Ashland; two sons, Eddie (Debra) Longden of Ashland and Jerry Longden of Ashland; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and one brother, Dale Longden of Washington D.C. In addition to his parents, Clyde in preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Bertha Longden; three grandchildren; one great grandson, one brother; and numerous sisters. Graveside services will be held, Friday, September 22, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. in the Ashland County Memorial Park with Major Larry Shade officiating. The Ashland Veteran’s Honor Guard will conduct full military honors. Friends may call, Friday at the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. For those who may not be able to attend, online condolences may be shared on the funeral home’s website at denbowfh.com.
