Gary Reade Duncan, 83 Gary Reade Duncan, 83 of Ashland passed away, Thursday, September 14, 2017 in his home. He was born on May 19, 1934 in Warren, Ohio the son Ed and Mildred (nee Ink) Duncan. Gary served in the United States Army at Fort Sheridan, Illinois at the Nike missile site from 1956 to 1958. He retired from Hydromatic Pump Company in 1997. Gary enjoyed taking trips on his Harley Davidson motorcycle, helping his friends on their stock car, taking his 1960 Cadillac Eldorado to car shows, and taking rides on steam trains. He loved his little dog on his lap. Gary is survived by Janice (Keener) Duncan his wife of 55 years; one daughter, Monique Duncan of Ashland; one grandson, Mason (Helaina) Johnson; one great grandson, Roland; and one great granddaughter, Charlotte; one brother, David Duncan of Ashland; and one sister, Ida Mae (Ardell) Holmes of Blairsville, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held, Monday, September 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Reverend John Ballinger officiating. Interment will follow in the Nankin Cemetery where the Ashland Veteran’s Honor Guard will conduct full military honors. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers of memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1050 Dauch Drive, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
