Miriam Isabel Cunningham, 91 Miriam Isabel Cunningham, 91 of Ashland passed away, Saturday, April 20, 2019 in Brethren Care Village. She was born on September 3, 1927 to the late Walter O. and Rhea M. (nee Derr) Wuthrich in Ashland. Miriam graduated from Ashland High School, Class of 1945; and went on to attend Ashland University and Capital University. She married the love of her life, Bruce L. Cunningham on November 27, 1959. Miriam worked as a secretary, insurance agent, and co-owner of Wuthrich-Cunningham Insurance and Real Estate Agency, Inc. and a bookkeeper at the Ashland Times-Gazette. Miriam was a life member of Peace Lutheran Church where she was a Sunday school teacher. She also was a volunteer of Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary, American Red Cross, member and past president of Asesiba Chapter of National Secretaries Association, member of Town and Country Garden Club, member of Friendship Study Club, and a member of The Capital University Girls’ Chorus. She is survived by her loving daughter, Carolyn A. (Scott) Morrison of Sunbury; her caring son, Bruce L. (Marci) Cunningham II of Birmingham, Michigan; grandchildren, Allegra L. and Hagen L. Cunningham, and Kaitlyn M. Morrison; a sister, Bonnie J. Wuthrich of Ashland; and one nephew, Don (Debbie) Rogers of Ashland; and great niece and nephew, Amanda (John) Jolliff and Matt Rogers. In addition to her parents, Miriam is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce in 1981. Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Peace Lutheran Church, 1360 Smith Road, Ashland, Ohio 44805 with Reverend Karen J. Liddy officiating. Interment will follow in the Ashland Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the church.
