Jeannine O'Grady

A loving and caring people-person, Jeannine O'Grady, age 83, of Bellbrook, passed away on Thursday, May 14th, 2020. Jeannine was born on September 2, 1936 to June Isbel (Hillman) and Paul Isbel. She graduated from Stivers High School and later married her husband of 62 years, Thomas O'Grady. While raising their children, the family enjoyed camping trips, visits to the Drive-in, sunny days spent at NCR's Old River Park, and picnicking at Indian Lake, Ash Caves, or Hocking Hills. Jeannine loved the color blue, bowling with Tom in their mixed league, card games and monopoly at get togethers, and cooking, especially the big Thanksgiving dinner (including a special ham for Tom). She liked tacos, her dogs, Law & Order, hidden picture puzzles, and chocolate. Jeannine thoroughly enjoyed her job serving at Bethany Lutheran and the opportunities it gave her to strike up conversations with anyone and everyone. She will be greatly missed for her sweet spirit and loving attention. Jeannine was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and June Isbel, and sons Bruce Michael O'Grady and Patrick Michael O'Grady. Her memory will be cherished by those she leaves behind, husband Thomas O'Grady Sr., son Thomas O'Grady Jr. (Amy), daughter Kathleen Young (Duane), daughter-in-law Rochelle O'Grady, grandchildren Justin O'Grady (Kimberly), Kaitlynn O'Grady, Meghan Zauner (Dennis), Shawn O'Grady, Lillian O'Grady, Evan Rhule, and Ash'lyn Rhule, great-grandchildren Aiden, Abigail, and Miles, siblings Patricia Bernard (Joseph), Danny Isbel (Diana) and Kevin Storer, and numerous nieces and nephews. To help the family celebrate her life, you are invited to share during her visitation at Conner & Koch Life Celebration Home (92 W. Franklin Street, Bellbrook) on Wednesday, May 20th from 4 to 6 pm. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 21st, 2020 at 10:30 am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (6245 Wilmington Pike, Centerville) with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
