<p>Known as a storyteller, outgoing and talkative Michael C. "Mike" Ray passed away at age 67, will be missed by his family and friends. Mike, who was a resident of Spring Valley, passed away Sunday, August 11th, 2019 in Beavercreek.</p><p><br></p><p>To help the family celebrate his life, you are invited to his Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, August 16th, 2019 at St. Anthony Catholic Church (830 Bowen St, Dayton, Ohio 45440), with burial and military to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. </p><p><br></p><p>He was born July 22nd, 1952 to Betty (Snyder) and Arthur Ray, and was a 1971 graduate of Wilbur Wright HS. Mike served his country in the US Army and was awarded the National Defense Service and Marksman Medal. He was a Firefighter/ EMT for Dayton Fire Department until his retirement after 27 years. His family, friends and co-workers knew him as a good provider and a hard-worker. Mike loved being a firefighter where he had the opportunity to not only be helpful but save a lot of lives.</p><p><br></p><p>In his free time, and especially after retirement, he could be found either hunting or fishing depending on the the season. Gardening and watching his birdfeeders were another of his outdoor pursuits.
