Ruby Marie Vogler

A genuine friend and a devoted Christian, Ruby Marie Vogler, age 85, of Xenia, passed away Friday, June 5th, 2020. Ruby was born August 21st, 1934. She grew up in the church and always had a special gift for music. She could pick up nearly any instrument and play it, but was especially fond of the mandolin. She had a beautiful voice, and she used it to worship the Lord and bless others. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, coffee, and hummingbirds, and she absolutely loved her dog, Lucky. Ruby was an active member and volunteer for many groups in her community. She was a Red Hatter, she worked with InFaith Ministries, the Greene County Chamber of Commerce, and the Coming Together Center. Her heart for the Lord and her willingness to use her gifts to serve others has left an impactful legacy to be remembered by all who knew her! Ruby was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Elmo Wendell Vogler, her parents, daughter Diane McClellan, and three sisters Audrey, Kay, and Juanita. She is survived by her granddaughter Kelly McClellan, great-grandson Jaxson Adams, sister Violet Grooms, brothers Don (Bonnie) Grooms, Gary (Sue) Grooms, Kenny (Sandy) Grooms, her beloved dog Lucky, and many numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. To help the family celebrate her life, you are invited to participate during her visitation at Conner & Koch Life Celebration Home (92 W Franklin St, Bellbrook, OH 45305) on Saturday, June 13, 2020 from 9:00 to 11:00 am. A life celebration service will be held following the visitation at 11:00 am with Pastor Kevin Seeley officiating. Burial will take place at Hamilton Cemetery in Lynx, OH at 3:00 pm, also on Saturday, June 13, 2020.
