Kathleen A. Carey "Kathy", age 76, passed away on November 29, 2020. Kathy was born on March 18, 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late James and Delia (nee McManamon) McIntyre. A graduate of Villa Angela Academy and Dyke College, Kathy devoted much of her life to her husband, children, and grandchildren. Kathy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Martin Carey; brothers William and James McIntyre Kathy was the dearest mother of Rev. Louis Michael Carey, Patrick (Heather) Carey, Bridget (Brian Jackson) Carey-Jackson, James Carey, and Brendan Carey; treasured grandmother of Cody, Nicholas, Martin, Elizabeth, Aidan, Cullan, and Declan; cherished sister of Patrick (Ginger) McIntyre, Maureen (John) Wirts, sister-in-law of Kathleen (Carey) Hayes; beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. Kathy will be remembered for her warm hugs, kindness, and laughter. She was a member of the East Side Irish American Club and parishioner of St. Robert and William. She was a cancer warrior with a strong faith and heritage. She loved her Irish music, Cleveland sports teams, and her family, and friends. Funeral Mass will be 11:30 AM, Saturday, December 5, 2020, at Ss. Robert and William Parish, 367 E 260th St, Euclid, OH 44132. Family will receive friends Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Jakubs & Son Funeral Home, 936 E 185th St, Cleveland, OH 44119. Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery. In lieu of Flowers Donations in Kathy’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital, P.O. Box 1000 Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
