Janelle Alexis Reese was born May 27, 1983, in Rantoul, Illinois, to John and Janet Reese. She departed this life Wednesday, March 22, 2017. Janelle attended Gahanna Lincoln High School where she was enrolled in the Cosmetology program at Fairfield Career Center. She went on to Kaplan University where she received her associates degree in Criminal Justice. She spent most of her professional life as a Case Manager Counselor and a Youth Advisor. THIS WAS HER PASSION! Janelle worked at the Alvis House, a transition facility for women prisoners. There she was instrumental in helping inmates return to their families and to society. Janelle was loved by family and friends alike. Her smile was infectious. When Janelle was in the room everybody knew it. Janelle was never boring, she saw life as an adventure. Janelle was a writer of a children’s book. She once said recently, I now take my walk with God serious. She loved to dance, she loved the Lord and she loved her boys and her family. Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Devinn and Donavon; her parents, John and Jan Reese; her brother, Antonio (Cynthia) Reese; Danny, Darius and Becky; nieces, aunts, uncles, and other family members and friends.
