Obituary for Rosita Geneva McAfee

Rosita Geneva McAfee (nee Taylor) was born November 29, 1964 to Gloria Jean Taylor (nee Carroll) and Hayward James Taylor, Sr. in Columbus, Ohio. She grew up in a loving home and she was always a happy and pleasant person to be around. Many of Rosita's loved ones knew her more affectionately by the nickname, "Poodle."

Rosita worked hard to provide for her family. For many years, she was employed in the food service industry and also spent some time as a caregiver in the healthcare field. She was a skilled poet, loved to sing, and was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes. Always the life of the party, Rosita brought joy with her wherever she went and made sure everyone around her was happy.

On February 21, 2017, at the age of 52, Rosita was called from labor to reward while at The Ohio State University Medical Center's East Hospital. She was preceded in death by her brother Hayward James Taylor, Jr.

Rosita is survived by her husband Jeffrey B. McAfee, Sr.; children, Dawnetta Taylor (TyShawn), Dela Johnson (Kerry), Raleigh, Jeff (Keiosha), and Walter; mother Gloria Taylor; father Hayward Taylor (Deloris); sisters, Carol Taylor (Kevin), Vanessa, Danita, and Mee-Mee; brothers Ricky and Ronnie; twelve grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends including Steven Woodfork.
