DIXON, CARLISLE M. "CURLY" AGE 93 of Englewood, passed away Monday July 3, 2017. He was born on March 10, 1924 in Clayton, to the late Thomas and Grace Dixon. He graduated from Fairview High School in 1942. He proudly and honorably served his country as a United States Marine in WWII and the Korean War. He retired from NCR after 34 years of service. An active life member of West Milton American Legion Post #487. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Mary Elizabeth (Betty); children Tom Dixon and partner Linda Keener of Phoenix, AZ, Barbara Dixon of Hilliard, OH, Francie (Tim) Gillis of Brookville, OH; grandsons Travis Adkins and Nick Gillis of Brookville, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents and his 4 siblings. A Funeral Service will be held 10AM Monday July 10, 2017 at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home 5555 Philadelphia Dr. Dayton OH 45415. The family will receive friends 5-7PM Sunday July 9, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment held at Dayton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Hospice of Miami Valley.
