Scott Herman Obituary

Scott Herman, an insurance broker from Dayton, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 8th at the age of 55. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard Herman and Beverly Mason, step-father Robert Mason, and brother Danny Herman. Scott's boundless generosity, though anchored by his devotion to his family, spread to the hundreds of people he coached and mentored. It gave him great joy to see others succeed, and he spent every ounce of energy helping people tap into their potential. His infectious personality was unforgettable to everyone who came into contact with him. The world has lost a one of a kind man who will be missed by many. Scott is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Deborah Herman; children Angela Autrey, Ashley Herman and Bradley Herman; grandchildren Arianna, Lucas, Ava and Tyler; brothers and sisters David (Ria) Herman, Susan (Todd) Mace, Steve (Anne) Herman, Julie Mason-Marcum (Jeff), Larry (Vicki) Mason, Kristi Arden; sister-in-law Jan Hunt; special niece Jessica Herman; numerous nieces, nephews and members of the Loges Family. Visitation hours are 5:00pm-8:00pm on Thursday, July 13th at Baker-Hazel & Snider on Philadelphia Drive. A funeral service will be held at Precious Blood Church on Salem Avenue at 10:30am on Friday, July 14th.
