MERCER, William J., “Bill”, age 86 of Riverside, died Friday, October 6, 2017. He retired from Dimco Gray and he loved gardening and feeding the birds. Preceded in death by his wife Patricia L. Mercer, son Gregory Mercer, grandsons Todd and Ryan Michel and sister Rita Crowell. Survived by daughter Kathleen Michel and Rick Whitaker, 2 sons Timothy “T.J.” Mercer and Karen Landes, Patrick Mercer, 6 grandchildren Heather, Cindy, Mandy, Megan, Laura and Kendra, 13 great grandchildren, sister-in-law Ellen Middleton, numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends, and faithful companion “Reba Louise”. Services Private. The family would like to extend their thanks to special friends Bonnie and Steve Combs, and other friends and neighbors who helped care for Bill in his time of need.
