Brian Scott McDaniel, age 55, of Miamisburg, Ohio passed away peacefully on February 28, 2021 at Hospice of Dayton.

Scott was born February 1, 1966 in Dayton, Ohio to John D. and Marjorie A. McDaniel.

He is survived by his mother, Marjorie and sons, Alexander (Jessica) and Benjaman Oberle, both of Stuttgart, Germany, as well as three grandchildren Matteo, Louis, and Leyla.

Scott is also survived by his brothers John (Shelley) of Monroe, Ohio and Craig (Darlene) McDaniel of Kettering, as well as his fiancé Susan Orndorf of Miamisburg.

Scott’s extended family includes 3 nephews, 7 great nieces and nephews, and 16 cousins. His beloved pets, Houdini and Cheyenne, greatly miss his attention.

Scott graduated from Fairmont High School, Kettering and served active duty in the United States Army from 1986 through 1990, stationed at Stuttgart Army Base in Stuttgart, Germany. He returned home to Kettering as a father and husband.

Scott was an avid NASCAR racing fan and regularly attended the Michigan 400 races.

He was a skilled dart player and enjoyed making models of WW2 airplanes, battleships and tanks.

Memorial service for family and close friends will be held Sunday, March 7, 2021 at 2:00PM at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 101 Huffman Ave. Dayton with Rev. Stephen Gill officiating.

Scott wishes for his ashes to be scattered at a later date.
