Dennis Palmer Obituary

Mr. Dennis L. Palmer, Sr. age 65 of Painesville Twp., passed away May 2, 2017 at TriPoint Health Center. He was born October 29, 1951 in Painesville to the late Paul and Marilyn (Smith) Palmer and was a lifelong area resident. Dennis was employed by North Coast Lift Truck in Mentor as a Parts Analyst. He was a 1970 graduate of Riverside High School, and attended Lakeland Community College. He was a member of the Painesville Twp. Fire Department in the 1970's. He also coached Painesville Midget Football for 13 years with the Vikings and Browns and he treated all of his players like they were his own. Dennis was a founding member of Lake County Off Road (LCOR) and Family of Faith Christian Church playing his guitar and leading the Praise Group along with a Bible Study on Sunday mornings and Life Recovery Group on Monday evenings. Dennis belonged to Koinonia of Lake County - Make a friend, be a friend, bring a friend to Christ. He loved his 4 wheeler and his Jeep and riding at Southington Off Road Park and the Alleghenies. Dennis is survived by his wife Connie (Moyer) whom he married November 9, 1974; sons Dennis L. (Debbie) Palmer Jr. and Dane W. Palmer; grandchildren Cameron Palmer, Samantha Pemberton, Tina Pemberton, and great granddaughter Scarlett Lynn Pemberton; sister Dianne (Barry) Dodd; nieces and nephews Corey Dodd, Courtney Rohrbaugh, Christopher Dodd, and Jennifer Burton as well as several great nieces and nephews. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive friends May 20th from 11 a.m. to Noon at Family of Faith Christian Church, 630 Second Street, Fairport Harbor, Ohio 44077. A memorial service will follow at noon. Memorial contributions are suggested to the family, The Family of Faith Christian Church or Koinonia of Lake County, P.O. Box 581, Painesville, Ohio 44077.
