Nancy Smart, age 81 of Seaman, passed away Monday, May 18, 2015 at Adams County Regional Medical Center. She was born in Adams County, Ohio on February 14, 1934 the daughter of the late John and Jeanette (Davis) Bishop. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, John Bishop. Nancy attended Seaman Community Methodist Church, was an Order of Eastern Star life member, and an OEA life member. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, John Smart of Seaman; one son, Chris Smart of Seaman; two daughters, Leslie and Kenneth Lerch of Hillsboro and Tracey Jenkins of Seaman; 3 grandchildren, Jacob Lerch, Jessica Lerch, and Madison Jenkins; and 3 nieces. Visitation has been scheduled for Thursday, May 21, 2015 from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at Wallace-Thomson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman with Rev. Ken Johnson officiating. Funeral services are scheduled for the following day at 11:00 A.M. also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Belfast Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Seaman Community Methodist Church.
