D. Arlene Dryden, 89, of Toledo, passed away Monday, November, 3, 2014, at Ebeid Hospice. She was born February 5, 1925, in Tiffin, OH and was the daughter of Clyde and Nina (Rosenberger) Sink. Arlene was an RN and worked at Toledo Hospital where she retired in 1985. She enjoyed watching professional football and baseball and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Cleveland Browns fan. Arlene also enjoyed spending time at her cottage at Nettle Lake. She was an independent woman, living alone later in life and still driving at the age of 89. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staffs at Ebeid Hospice and Toledo Hospital and the neighbors who looked out for Arlene when she was living alone.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Earl Dryden; sons, Eric Dryden and Todd Dryden; daughters, Chris (Rev. Vinson) Long and Jill (John) Howard; grandchildren, Derek (Tanya) Lederman and Erica (Ryan) Wooley and great-grandson, Tanner Wooley. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Reed Dryden and brother, Richard Sink.
Friends are invited to visit on Friday from 11 a.m. until the funeral service at 1 p.m., in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Avenue (between Secor and Douglas Roads). Arlene's son-in law, Reverend Vinson Long will officiate. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
