Obituary for Delwin N. Ketterman

Ketterman Delwin N. Delwin N. Ketterman, 75, passed away on Saturday July 21, 2012 in Marblehead Ohio. He was born on October 7, 1936 in York Pennsylvania to Elsie and William Ketterman. He was a graduate of DeVilbis High School, class of 1954. He attended the University of Florida for one year where he played football, and graduated from the University of Toledo in 1960 where he also played football, was a member of the Sig Ep Fraternity and was a member of the alumni and varsity T club. Prior to his retirement, Delwin taught mathematics at Airport, Scott, Bedford and Anthony Wayne High Schools as well as at the University of Toledo. He also coached football, basketball, and track. He was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church and the Masons. Delwin enjoyed boating, fishing, football, traveling and especially attending his grandchildren's activities and spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Emma Lisbeth “Libby” Ketterman; son Paul (Julie) Ketterman; daughters, Elizabeth (Harrold)Thomas, Susan (Scott) Deller and Sherri Ketterman; grandchildren, Luke, Lauren, Malorie, Brandon, Andrew, Sara and Mitchell and Catie; sister Linda Skeeters. He was preceded in death by his son, David, granddaughter Kelsey, and brother, Emerson. Friends are invited to visit on Wednesday July 25, 2012 from 5:30-8:00PM in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Ave. Funeral services will begin at 11:00AM Thursday at Reformation Lutheran Church, 4543 Douglas Rd. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to Memorial Hospice in Clyde, Ohio or Reformation Lutheran Church.
