Dorothy was the Mother of my dearest friend, Ann. When Ann called me with the news of her Mother’s passing, my heart ached for her family’s loss. Losing a parent hurts. But, such a blessing that Dorothy enjoyed so many years of life in which she both RECEIVED love from and GAVE love to others, most importantly her children and their families! She created a rich life for herself, as evidenced by her obituary, and she exemplified the way that one should live their life, living their values and enhancing the lives of others. In her later years, I always referred to her as the Poster Woman of her respective decade – a role model for women of any age to emulate, aging beautifully with enthusiasm, optimism and grace! As her family and friends gather to pay their respects and honor this woman, how proud they must be. I send my condolences to her very special family. My thoughts are with you. Love, Cheryl Ott White

She lived a wonderful life. I always remember her smiling and making the best of everything. So many great memories, the many family picnics, the love between the sisters, the great family members. Loved you always Dorothy. Brings a tear to my eyes but it should not. Her life was great and I can only think of good things. She was giving to others. Hopefully each member of her family will know how much we cared for her and for each one of you. I wish I could be there. Please know my heart is with you. I wish I could thank her for all she has done with my mom. Smile it was a great life. I hope to do as much as she did. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Love her and love you all.

We extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Dorothy Braithwaite Davis. We met Dorothy in 1968 when we worked together in the Owens-Illinois Programming Department. Our friendship was renewed until recently through occasional contact at the Classic Cafe on Sylvania Avenue. Dorothy was a kind and gracious lady and she will be missed by all who had the opportunity to meet her. May God bless and keep the Braith-Davis family.
