Obituary for Frances E. Squire

Frances E. Squire, 87, passed away Friday, July 8, 2011, at Manor of Perrysburg. She was born October 27, 1923, in Toledo and was the daughter of Robert and Estella (MacVay) Tracy. Frances was a graduate of Libbey High School, attended DePauw University where she was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority and graduated from The Toledo Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greater Toledo for 71 years and served as Treasurer for many years. Frances loved to read and play bridge with her friends. She was also a member of the Chapter AL of P.E.O. Sisterhood and the Samma Gamma Sorority. Survivors include her sons, Robert (Sharon) Squire and David (Mary) Squire, grandchildren, Ryan (Elizabeth) Squire, Troy Squire, Lindsey (David) Long, Christina Squire and Elizabeth Squire; 4 great-grandchildren and her brother, Robert (Martha) Tracy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Squire, whom she married in 1946, and her son, Stephen Squire. A memorial service will be held July 23, at 11:00 A.M., at the First Baptist Church of Greater Toledo, 6520 Pilliod Road, Holland, OH. There will be a luncheon served at the church immediately following the service. Memorial contributions may be made in Frances' name to First Baptist Church of Greater Toledo.
