Obituary for Fred M. McNamar

Fred M. McNamar, 89, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on Monday March 5, 2007, at St Anne Mercy Hospital. He honorably served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years. Fred worked for 38 years for Penn the Central Railroad, before retiring. Survivors in his loving wife, Jean McNamar; daughters, Sharon (Leon) Campbell Tremmel and Sandra Hamilton; step children, Gary (Joyce) Zale, David (Barbara) Zale, Cynthia (William) Eason and Nancy Cherry. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brian (Candace) Campbell, Marsha Campbell, Scott (Dalys) Keney and Kristina (Rick) Irwin; step-grandchildren, Greg Zale, Stephen Zale, Ashley Zale, Layla Thomas, Geni Scalio, Carrie Pitzen, Daniel Cherry, Robert Cherry and Nicholas Cherry and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Fern McNamar and step grandson, Scott Cherry.
