Georgia R. Gouge, 101, passed away Tuesday evening November 6, 2007 at Lake Park Extended Care Facility. Georgia had lived with her daughter for 12 years and had been a resident at Lake Park for the past year. Georgia was born to George R. and Jennie (O'Neil) Grubb in Lakota, North Dakota on June 15, 1906. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her five siblings, her husband, Lonnie H. Gouge, her daughter Mildred Hitchner-Rogers, and her grandson, Lewis K. Rogers III. She is survived by her daughter, Mary B. Rogers, her granddaughter, Tina (Norman) Aunger-Hoxworth of Akron, Ohio; great-grandson L.Cpl. Todd (Felicia) Aunger, Jr, of Akron Ohio who is in the U. S. Marine Corps serving in Iraq; great-granddaughter Sierra Courtney Hoxworth. And several nieces and nephews and their families. Georgia loved to travel, bright colors, and jewelry that "sparkled", music and especially watching the animal planet on T.V. Friends and family are invited to visit from 1:30-7:30PM on Friday November 9, 2007 in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Ave. between Secor and Douglas Roads where funeral services will begin at 11:00AM on Saturday November 10th with Rev. Thomas Bates Officiant. Interment in Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery in Sylvania. Memorials may be made to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, 1 Billy Graham Pkwy, Charlotte NC, 28202. or the Boulevard Church of Christ 7041 Sylvania Ave, Sylvania Ohio, 43560 where Georgia was a long time member.
