Helen J. Jacobs, 93, formerly of Hope Manor, Violet Road, Toledo, OH and recently of The Health Center of Coconut Creek, in Florida, , passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2010. She was born January 30, 1917, in Toledo and was the daughter of Tom and Clara (Coykendall) Davis. Helen was a graduate of Morenci High School. She worked at the Country House Restaurant in LaSalle's Department Store, in downtown Toledo, retiring after many years. She was “a wonderful mother to we three boys and showed us the true meaning of loyalty, perseverance, and love.” Survivors include her sons, Thomas (Janet) Jacobs, Terry (Fe') Jacobs and James “Jim” (Anita) Jacobs; grandchildren, Tommy (Christina) Jacobs, Cynthia (Gris) Batchelder, Judy (Rahman) Carr, Patty Jacobs, Mike (KumHui) Jacobs, Dan Jacobs, Steven Jacobs, Paula Jacobs and Mervin Ramnaraine and 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Velma Davis and 3 nieces. Helen was preceded in death by her former husband, Paul Jacobs, sister, Rosemary Beach and brother, George Davis. Friends are invited to visit from 1 until 6 p.m. Sunday, in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Avenue, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday.
