James A. Paul, 73, of Toledo, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 15, 2011. James was born in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Lawrence and Jane Paul of Toledo, Ohio. He graduated from DeVilbiss High School in 1955 and began his career with the Detroit and Toledo Shore Line Railroad. He retired as a Yardmaster from CSX Railroad in 1989. Jim met the love of his life, Anne Seiler, in 1954. They were married for 53 years and had three beautiful daughters. He enjoyed spending time at his cabin in Loudonville, Ohio and taking walks in the park with his beloved dogs. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Anne: sister, Ruth Jacob, children, Cathie Paul of Toledo, Debra (Chris) Engel of Sugarland, TX, Joanne (Ken) Hooven of Temperance, MI; grandchildren, Laura (Doug) Kruse, Jessica (Blake) Kronovich, Justin Engel, Andrew Kilisch, Zachary and Bradley Hooven, numerous nieces and nephews and special friend Fred Murra. He was preceded in death by his parents and good friends, Pete Wright and Bob Frank. Friends and family may visit from 2-8 p.m., on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Avenue, where services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 20th. Internment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Toledo Area Humane Society, 1920 Indian Wood Circle, Maumee, OH, 43537.
