Obituary for James E. Watt

James "Buck" Watt, 55, of Toledo, passed away at his home, Thursday, January 16, 2014, after a courageous 5 year battle with cancer. He was born May 5, 1958, in Toledo and was the son of Charles and June Watt. Jim was employed at Calphalon Corp. for over 30 years. He enjoyed gardening and was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers. Jim was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Darcy Watt; sons, Chad, Brad, Steven, and Zachary Watt, and his mother, June Marie Watt. He is also survived by his brother, John Matthew (Laura) Watt; sisters, Colleen (David) Grindle and Connie (Tom) Westhoven; sister-in-law, Karen Watt; numerous nieces, nephews, great- nieces, great-nephew and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Watt; brother, Randy Watt; nieces, Robin and Catrina and nephew, Michael. Family and friends are invited to visit from 12:00 noon- 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Avenue, (between Secor and Douglas Roads), where the rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Prayers will begin at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, from the funeral home followed by the funeral mass at 10:00 a.m., at Blessed Sacrament Church. Monsignor Michael Billian will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Steven Watt and Zachary Watt Education Fund, c/o Darcy Watt.
