Obituary for Lisa Jane Ketteman

Lisa J. Ketteman passed away January 28, 2016 at Heartland - Holly Glen Rehabilitaion Center after a short hospitalization. She was born in Streator, Illinois on April 25, 1966 to Richard and Marie (Durell) Ketteman. After moving with her parents to Toledo in 1974, she went to McKinley Elementary, East Toledo Jr. High and graduated from DeVilbiss High School in 1988, all in deaf education programs.

Following graduation, Lisa went to work for Lott Industries at the Telegraph Rd. facility. She also held jobs at Pizza Hut and Owens-Corning document center in the community based jobs program. Later, she returned to Lott Industries working at both the Holland Rd. and Hill Ave. facilities. She recently joined Creative Living Services (CLS) and was excited about taking part in their programming.

Lisa is survived by her parents, sister Karen Mitchell and George Webb of Toledo, brother Thomas (Kim) Ketteman of Woodbury, Minnesota and uncle Bob (Jackie) Durell of Toledo. Also surviving are niece, Brianne Ketteman, and nephews Shane and Connor Ketteman, all of the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, Zachary (Alison) Mitchell of Enterprise, Alabama, Alex (Lauren) Mitchell of Birmingham, Alabama. and Douglas (Keyanna) Mitchell of Tampa, Fla. Additional survivors are grand nephew, Bennett Mitchell and grand nieces, Nora and Caroline Mitchell, all of whom she adored.

Lisa loved being around people and particularly enjoyed babies and little children. She always wore a smile and waved to everyone. She enjoyed her friends at Lott Industries, traveling to Florida, attending University of Michigan football and basketball games, visiting her niece and nephews, going to the lake in the summer, jigsaw puzzles, word search and poster art.

We want to thank all the caregivers and medical staffs at Flower Hospital, Regency Hospital and Heartland-Holly Glen who provided Lisa's care over the last two months. Their compassionate attention was exceptional.

Friends are invited to visit from 3:00-7:00PM on Tuesday February 2, 2016 at the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Ave. where funeral services will begin at 11:00am on Wednesday.
