Margaret L. Niehaus, 85, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2008 in the Lutheran Home at Napoleon. She was born in Trimble, Ohio on October 15, 1922 to Thomas and Hannah (Harris) Love. Margaret was a graduate of Scott High School, class of 1940. She worked at Midwest, Sun Oil and Libbey Glass, all of Toledo, where she was an excellent secretary. After moving to Illinois in 1969, Margaret worked for Amoco until her retirement in 1983. Margaret was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church of Toledo, and was formerly active in Covenant Presbyterian Church, also of Toledo, until it closed. To know Margaret was to love her. She enjoyed people and showed it with her many hugs. If you were lucky enough to have been hugged by her, feel blessed! Margaret loved her family so much, especially her 6 great-grandchildren. She enjoyed going to Las Vegas with Keith, Kathy and Chuck, and recently had a great vacation with her entire family in Orlando. She was married on June 10, 1944 to the love of her life, Keith, who preceded her in death on October 1, 2007. She is survived by her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Kathy (Chuck) Rubinstein of Napoleon, OH; grandchildren, Jeremy (Shari) Rubinstein, and Jenna (Brent) Gray, also of Napoleon; great-grandchildren, Tate, Drew, Tanner, Calen, Trey and Faith. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Carol Tank of Williston and Betty Britton of Perrysburg and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Bill, Tiny, Ernie, Tommy and a baby brother, David, and sister Helen Gansen and two nieces. Friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, September 16. 2008 from 5-8 p.m. in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Ave., where funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Dr. Thomas Schwartz of Christ Presbyterian Church is Officiant. Interment will be in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider Christ Presbyterian Church of Toledo, First Presbyterian Church of Napoleon or The Lutheran Home @ Napoleon.
