Obituary for Marjorie Irene Deters

Marjorie Irene Deters (Heinze), passed away on Sunday March 1, 2009 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was an inspiration to others during her long battle against cancer. She was born in Bowling Green Ohio on September 17, 1929 to Fred and Anna Laura Heinze. Marjorie was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at the University of Toledo bookstore. She was a member of St. Clement's Parish where she was active in the Alter Rosary Society, Breakfast Club, and helped raise annual funds for the "All Children May Eat Fund". She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and her faith. She devoted her life to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She is survived by her children, Marilyn (Harry) Garey, Sharon (Larry) Chorzelewski, Terry Deters, Glen (Cheri) Deters, Lisa (John) Rough, Sara (Mike) Yochheim; 17 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Lucy Lamont, Loretta Bergmooser, Dorothy Amon; brothers, Francis, Howard, John, Richard, Donald, and Thomas Heinze. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph of 50 years; great-grandson Charles Grant; brother Charles Heinze and sisters Mary Price, Margaret Heinze and Helen Gonyer. Friends are invited to visit from 2:00-8:00PM on Friday March 6, 2009 in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Ave. where the Rosary will begin at 4:00PM and Scripture Service at 7:00PM. A funeral mass will begin at 10:00AM on Saturday in St. Clement's Church. Rev. Edward Littelmann Officiant. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio, or Diocesan Council of Catholic Woman "All Children May Eat" fund at P.O. Box 985, Toledo OH. 43697.
